This is a beautiful public service announcement. Give it a watch.
I see too many people flouting this rule, and I've wondered whether they're just bodoh, or whether they've simply not thought about it. I've seen children bouncing in the front seat, and in the back - and all sans a seat belt; never mind that they should rightfully be harnessed in a childseat!!!
I think it is law to wear your seatbelt in the back seat now. I'm not sure. I do, and make sure all who sit in my car do. It's not about following the rules for me. It's about being safe and living to see tomorrow.
Wear you seat bealt. Wear it for those who love you.
Isn't it amazing that this is a 'government' thingy? I don't see us coming up with something powerful like this at Filem Negara Malaysia!!!

Ah.... seatbelts. I've had lots of friends getting involved in car accidents and sustaining injuries more severe than they would have if they have been wearing their seatbelts. One friend refused to wear a seatbelt because seatbelts "tak macho" and "tak rock". When he was involved in a car crash late one night, he rocked the whole street. Thankfully, he survived with a broken collarbone and a bloodied face. I'll bet it looked macho.
ReplyDeleteHello E!
ReplyDeleteYah lah, he thinks he looks so macho in plaster of paris, huh?!!!
I have a friend who won't wear a seatbelt because it messes up her blouse!!! Needless to say I told her she was totally nuts, and I was not moving an inch until she belted up! And she was driving ;)
No wonder people call me 'controlling'. Hmmm, I'm not seeing myself change, though!
Good one, Pat! :)

Muahhhh.
Yup, I must agree. I've received it a couple of times already in my inbox, so I guess it's making another round on the net! :)
