Yep. Always suspected. Santa is a perfect anagram for Satan! But Antares is even Sataner, hahahahaha! And Merry Christmas anagrammatized reads "Smarmy retch, sir?"
ReplyDeleteOuch! And all I liked was the title of this song/carol/whatever! Hahahahah!!
ReplyDeleteSatan-er, eh? Now, how could that be?!?!?!!!
always made me giggle, I have 3 songs that I adore
ReplyDeleteone old : oh Holy Night by Jim Neighbors no less (or some name like that
and Chris Rea's Driving home for X-mas (if you don't know it, find it, it's fantastsic)
AND of course: WHERE ARE YOU CHRISTMAS? et voila, all the other Christmas carols as well lol
I'll look them up, for sure. I remember that Jim Neighbors was 'Gomer Pyle', a series that was quite popular in Malaysia way back when - because it was so very slap-stick, and that seems to be what Malaysians like :(
ReplyDelete'O holy night' is my favourite-est christmas carol, but I don't have a favourite singer who sings it. I just love it when it's sung well.
This must be the worst Christmas song ever written, along with the uber-annoying "I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus". Both are probably of American origin. Tasteless.
ReplyDeleteNow's the time to reveal that the word satan is from the Hebraic/Arabic shaitan which means "nemesis" or "opponent." In a bi-polar universe where Duality exists, we have positive & negative, yang & yin, male & female, Pakatan Rakyat & Barisan Nazional, and so on. To BN everyone in PR is "satan" and vice versa. Once we grasp this, we can proceed to integrate our shadow selves and move on lah. Waste of energy fighting our own shadows!
ReplyDelete"Sataner" is a perfect anagram of "Antares" - which indicates I'm more extreme than other contradictarians ;-)
Worst christmas song ever written???!!!! But WHY, E!!!! Hahahahah!
ReplyDeleteAnd, it's sung in 'country' style - which is one of my favourite hates!
I put it here because it's the First Time Ever that I've heard of it, and I liked the title! HOHOHO!
'Mummy kissing santa' has all sorts of iffy connotations (especially to a warped mind like mine ;), it's amazing it is a kiddie song at all!!!
Heya Ant!
I like word history, and never knew satan was nemesis - which makes it an infinitely interesting word!
You're more extreme than other contradictarians? Wow! ;)
