Corporate trainer - that's what I did when I left college-teaching. Every stint had a presentation, along with a whole host of stuff I had to get my hands on, to keep 25 to 30 adults 'entertained' for two whole days, between the highlight-of-their-days: the big, hotel meals!!! I'd soon tire of this - the training, not the meals - and discover that staying home and learning how to paint was the best-est ever thing in the world, even though it meant no more money!
When my daughter sent me this video, it brought back a lot of memories for me - and I thought I'd share this part of my life with you:

gosh brings back memories...I was a Career Advisor ad help people find assignment and would have workshops my first a disaster...well I read off the screen...that was one and only disaster than I got good and better and better and I had a special trick too because sometimes what the people's managers told them was opposite was I was saying, but I got a trick, first when the person is clearly annoyed, first you ask their name -incredible trick-they tell and settle down and then upon looking at her interection, could explain what the manager meant and that ir corrobated everything I said so far and Proved, I was a DIVA for 8 years...too bad I burned out oh well now I'm not to exhausted to read or to
ReplyDeletesetch or to go out with my camera Woo HOO loved the tape cracked me up
Glad you like it, Lorraine. It's good that we can laugh at ourselves, no?
DeleteI used to teach Presentation Skills, and it was easy to point out what was wrong, what needed to be changed, how something's logic was flawed - but then, I had to do it myself and I realised that nothing is as easy as it seems :(
But, like you, I learned. And like you, it is all behind me now!
