Here's how to keep an apple from oxidising: keep it all together with a rubber band! Great for popping in your bag for snacking later, eh?

Something I am going to do NOW: keep some talc in the car for when my feet get sandy from walking in the sand on the beach!!!

Somewhere in this blog is the vid for how to do this, but I forget where. But, these pix will remind you. I've already learnt this, and do it all the time ;) Go here, to see my post with the video from You Tube.

Works better than a shelf, no? Just hang a rod, and hook all your bottles on it! Brilliant!

Cut X's in a box, and shove in your cupcakes for an instant cupcake holder. They'll also keep the cupcakes from wobbling around as you make it to your party!

Attach a gutter-thingy along the wall, and use it to grow your veggies! How clever is that? It saves space, and makes watering them super simple, too! Thank you for dropping this in my inbox, Lita :)

Aunty Pat,
ReplyDeleteThe thing is, with the apples, isn't it easier just to bite them instead of cutting and then keep together with a rubber band? Oh, the last one is purrrfect for Mama's balcony garden. purrr....meow!
Amazing!! :) good find!!
ReplyDeleteAll brands of sliced bread come with plastic clips, not just Gardenia (which, incidentally, is just one of many consumer products that feed Syed Mokhtar Al-Bukhary's Umno Crony Empire).
ReplyDeleteOh ma chere je suis tres impressionee. quelles bonnes idees...si bien organize (que je ne suis pas malheureusement) Je vais peut-etre emprunter quelques idees Bon Lundi ma chere amie x
ReplyDeleteLoved all the ideas;))
ReplyDeleteHey guys, I'm glad you found this as clever as I did.
ReplyDeleteFor Antares:
I know that there are other brands of plastic bread lah. But, in the days when I used to eat bread, I hated Gardenia the most. Also, in my mind, they're all generic Gardenia-type plasticky breads to me.
When I ate bread, Chuan usually made it. Now, we're wheat free, and I make my own 'bread' type thingy, with roasted pumpkin and almond flour ;)
So, no worries about umno or umyes cronies getting rich with my money :)
My brain is just not wired for organization, I tried but it laughs at me, the nerve!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou have some great ideas here. I'm going to try several of them, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAwesome ideas! So common senseical! You're right, why didn't I think of that.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments on being wheat free. It is a great testimonial and encouragement. Amazing how good we feel isn't it?
My darling husband is always quoting the Laws of Entropy when I complain that he is a messy fellow, and to 'please tidy up your desk!'
ReplyDeleteWhat is this law he keeps quoting? Taken from somewhere online: One of the ideas involved in the concept of entropy is that nature tends from order to disorder in isolated systems.
So, my dear Lorraine, worry not. Like he says, a state of disorder - or disorganisation - is the most natural state. Go figure!!!
Hello Sheila!
ReplyDeleteSo nice to find you here :)
Yes, these are good ideas, and I am so glad a friend sent them to me, so that I could pass it on.
Hi Teri!
Thank you for stopping by. Yes, it is amazing how good we feel! I just wanted to leave a couple of lines to say it is a good thing, and to encourage you to not give up because so many talk of 'moderation' or 'I can't give up my cake' or whatever. If you read about the science of it all, it makes sense. And when you actually feel the difference, you know that it is right.
All the people I read about on Dr Davies blog are just names. When I read about you, I finally met a 'real person' who's trying it. I wanted for you to meet a 'real person', too :)
